Easter 2013

We had a nice Easter. It's hard to figure out the best way to teach the kids about Easter while still making some fun family traditions. So each year, we have tried some different things. This year, the Spring Bunny came the morning before Easter and, as I did when I was a kiddo, the Spring Bunny hid the baskets and the kids had to find them. Saturday night, we did a movie night in our bed with the kids and all camped out together in our room. Not sure if we'll do that part again. :) Then on Sunday, we got up and made Resurrection Rolls (they are biscuits wrapped around a marshmallow) and they end up hollow, like the Savior's tomb, when you bake them. Then, while we ate them, we talked about the Savior and the Resurrection. It worked out really well.

On Easter Sunday evening, we went to an egg hunt at Kay Wing's house. This has become a yearly tradition to go there and do dinner and hunting. :) It is lots of fun.
