Mana and Papa Came to Town

Let's back track a bit before we get into the fact that we are in Arizona. In the chaos of moving, I never got to post about our awesome amazing fun time with Mana and Papa in town. They came just a few days before we were going to move. You would think that might not be the best time to have visitors considering we had already given away our couch and kitchen chairs....but, actually, they couldn't have come at a more perfect time. It was just the break we needed so that we didn't lose our minds trying to plan this big move. We had SO much fun!

Rebekah was immediately taken with Mana when Mana came downstairs for church in a pink dress, "JUST YIKE BEKAH'S!!" I think she pointed their matching outfits out to Mana about 25 times that day. 

This was our kitchen table for about 2 weeks. We had to document it. It was kind of fun. 

 

We made a visit to the DC Temple Visitors center on Sunday afternoon. The kids love going there...though you can't really tell by their angry faces. 

On Monday we went to the Building Museum. The kids had a blast building things.

Joseph had the most fun. 

 

On Tuesday, we ditched the kids and the adults went and explored Arlington Cemetery. It was SO neat and wonderful to be there with mom and dad and have them all to ourselves and just talk and talk and talk....and sweat. It was hot. 

There is no place like this to make feel thankful for the service men and women in our country.

Saying goodbye to Mana and Papa. Rebekah wasn't happy. She loooooves her Mana.  To be honest, none of us were happy to see them go. The only comforting part was that we would see them in about 6 days when we drove through Chicago on our way to AZ.
