A Miller Reunion and A Swallow Wedding

August 4 - 11 2010

We had a Miller Family Reunion in Kaysville Utah from August 5th - 10th. It worked out great that my little sister, Jenna decided to get married on August 5th, so we got to be there! We flew in late Wednesday night the 4th, the wedding was Thursday the 5th, and then we spent until the following Tuesday there and flew out early early Wednesday morning. We had such a good time.
This is Alex with some light airplane reading on our flight out.

Rebekah helping her baby look out the window. She loves this baby doll and it goes wherever she goes. It was given to her as a hand me down from her cousin Lydia. We got her a brand new doll around the same time. She could care less about the doll we got her.

They got a little stir crazy at the layover. At least they were getting their wiggles out right? I believe this was just before Alex threw up refried beans on that carpet from running while chewing. :) Gross.

At the wedding. Jenna was a beautiful bride. This is all 9 of us kids. It isn't very often we all get to be together at once. Do you like how my bright blue shirt totally sticks out? Why did I wear that??!!

Whooohooooo!!!

Me and my two brothers. The one on the left is just older than me and the one on the right is just younger. They are both available . . . in case you were wondering. :)

That's my cute Dad. Sorry ladies . . . he is taken.

Alex and his cousin Lydia dancing at the wedding reception. It was toooo cute.

Here is a darling video of Alex and Lydia dancing. If you watch it to the end you will also see my cute teenage cousin Eliza dancing with her Grandpa (my dad). I love my daddy.
We went back up to Lizz's that same night and spent the rest of our time up there. The first day of the reunion was spent at Cherry Hill water park. We had sooooo much fun! Alex braved some pretty awesome rides (even after being thrown off of one tube ride) and Rebekah enjoyed playing in the lazy river, the kiddie area and basking in the sun.

Rebekah fell asleep on Aunt Lizz. Aunt Lizz loved it. Can you tell?

The fam watched a sleeping Kaitlyn for us while the four of us went in the lazy river together. Fun times.
There she is!! See we do have a third child!! And a very cute one at that! She and Rebekah laid on their blanket like this for awhile just playing.
The following day of the reunion was spent up at Christina's (my sis in law) parent's cabin in Eden, Utah. They have a zip line, trampoline, all sorts of stuff. Alex loved the zip line the first two times. He stopped after that when he got worried the third time he went. :) We had SO much fun up there! This is Alex and his cousin Ava watching everyone go down it.

Here is a video of Alex going down!!! Goooooo Alex!!
Here is a video of me going down. I guess we didn't get one of Joseph.

I just had to put this in here because I think my in laws are the cutest ever. Don't you just love them?! I hate to break it to you world, but my in laws are better than yours.
Rebekah, Alex, and cousin Hailey had fun jumping on Aunt Lizz's bed after church on Sunday. Rebekah has a thing for Grandpas. Here she is tickling her Papa.
On Sunday we had a nice Family Home Evening with everyone and then on Monday we went and launched rockets. Very fun. Alex loooooved this activity.

Kaitlyn Cynthia and her Mana Cynthia bonded while the rockets were launching.

Joseph's parents were supposed to fly out that Monday evening. Their flight was cancelled (Yes!) so we went and picked them up. We decided that Nerf Sword fighting would be a good way to entertain the folks . . .
Dad gave us the famous "Dad Look"
Then, he joined in and got so crazy and hyper and out of control that we had to put him and mom to bed. Here they are all tucked in and we are all soothing them to sleep with our voices....

Dad complained and said, "I want a story!!!" So Sam and Joseph put on a little show for him . . . and Dad was happy and went to sleep (finally. sheesh). OK, so really it was true that we all sword fought and that Dad did too, and that he got crazy . . . for Dad. :) He did not however have to be put to bed. We were just annoyingly hyper and giggly so we tortured our poor parents for as long as we could. I love this family.

See, even the kids were annoyed with us. :) No, this was the nxt day I think and they were all tuckered out and watching a show.

Alex adores his cousin Ethan as well and Ethan was so nice to him.

The last day we were there we decided to play on the slip n slide out back. Alex loved it. A lot.
Rebekah preferred the little kiddie pool. She is cold in this picture. :)
Happy Alex
Alex trying to hug Rebekah. Rebekah resisting like usual. :)
On our way back to Maryland. Let me tell you . . . it is a looooong day to fly from DC to Utah with three kids. Long day.
